Dogs staying at Camp Melissa have free run of the kitchen area and back yard access through a doggie door.  They are only crated occasionally: at feeding times to keep all dogs separate, at night if they are accustomed to sleeping in a crate, or only if being left alone for a short time.
Will my dog be crated while he stays at camp?
Melissa is very diligent about the supervision of the dogs while they play together.  Her thorough understanding of canine behavior comes from years of experience as a canine behavior counselor and her many hours of hands-on work with hundreds of different dogs. Dogs are allowed to express themselves and enjoy their time together at camp, under the watchful eye of the alpha dog - Melissa!
